The Obelisk, an ode to the monolithic builders of our Ancient past. With their hearts and minds so often transfixed on the great cosmos above, they constantly drew inspiration from things greater than themselves. Creating countless wonders that have stood through the ages and are still with us today. Timeless beauty, humbling in its impact. Often times leaving us with more questions than answers, yet still profoundly fulfilling to experience and behold.
At 16 feet tall, clad in ornate sacred geometries and other worldly scripts, The Obelisk acts as a beacon to all those that come upon it from a distance. During the day, fleeting glimpses of ourselves and the world around us, dash and dart through its mirrored exterior. Offering us a time to take pause and reflect on ourselves, our loved ones, and the beauty in all things that surrounds us each day. By nightfall, as if it was channeling the collective resonant energies of those moments offered to it, the piece comes alive. Lighting up in an ethereal ever changing glow. From deep within its core the lights begin to dance and flutter with a spectral whimsy that seems to come from the great beyond. Almost as if to be communicating back to the builders that came before us. An ever watchful eye atop it's crown gazing down at us, as we return our gaze to it.
It leaves us with a question or two of our own...
Who built this? Why did they leave it here? And, last but not least. What were they trying to tell us?
In the summer of 2022, Florentine Farms travelled over 6000 miles to bring the Infinity Temple to the City of Black Rock. 80,000 attendees erected a city overnight, and as the dust settled, out from the Playa arose a magnificent sight.
Its mirrored finish glistened across the desert sands and as the day became night, and the Temple began to twinkle and strobe all colors of the rainbow.
A microcosm of the Burn itself, the Temple represents an isolating yet ever expansive realm of possibility.
Where do you want to go?
If dreams were real, this would be one.
After the enormous success of the Infinity Temple at Electric Forest in 2019, Stephen Rhoades and the Florentine Farms crew began dreaming bigger. So that’s what they did. A massive increase in size, LED’s and magic, the Infinity Temple 2.0 gives new life to the already immersive and enchanting installation.
The nearly 16ft tall hexecontahedron dazzles and amazes. From a futuristic land where magic is in no short supply, the Temple is sure to captivate. Surrender yourself to a higher power.
Immerse yourself in light.
The Infinity Temple is the second light installation based on optical illusions and mirrors created at Florentine Farms by Stephen Rhoades. Built specifically to debut at Electric Forest 2019, the Temple is made of 55+ two-way triangles and over 10,000 LEDs. Utilizing sophisticated mapping technology, the Temple is completely programmable to any visuals and music.
This scale up from 2018’s “The Portals” continues to play upon a duality of life, night and day. During the day rests a reflective dome. Time to reflect upon yourself, your peers and your surroundings. At night transports you to another world. Introspection… looking forward… and looking into infinity…
Art With Me, Miami 2022
For this event the Florentine Farms team did something special. Under normal circumstance the Temple remains sealed off from the public, but here we curated individual and group experiences inside the structure itself.
A fully immersive world unlike any other. Once you step inside you cannot see out, it transports you to another dimension, the sounds and sights echo for eternity. How long have you been gone? How far will you travel?

The Infinity Temple is the second light installation based on optical illusions and mirrors created at Florentine Farms by Stephen Rhoades. Built specifically to debut at Electric Forest 2019, the Temple is made of 40+ two-way triangles and over 10,000 LEDs. Utilizing sophisticated mapping technology, the Temple is completely programmable to any visuals and music.

The Towers dazzle and delight. Over 8 feet tall, boasting 1000 LEDs each, these bright and bold monoliths are intricately programmed and controlled over long distance artnet protocols allowing them to spread over a distance of 1000+ feet or in a tight grouping. Unlike the Barcodes, the Towers are four-sided allowing them to be enjoyed from all angles.
Built for Lost Lands 2022, Follow the Tracks are four 4ft ground portals shaped like Trex tracks. Large mirrors during the day and infinity portals at night, this playful and colorful installation invited attendees to not only follow the dinosaurs, but to follow their dreams.
Over 1000 LEDs total, this piece really added a colorful dynamic to a truly prehistoric event.
Life is full of duality: resting reflection and active forward movement. “The Portals” take you on an inward journey of reflection to navigate your path to the future.
A dazzling LED display plays with the eye, questioning reality and perspective. The use of mirrors and light will allow you to see yourself… and where you’re going.
Where will they take you?
Florentine Farms was proud to debut The Portals in June 2018 at the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, Michigan. This piece is a reflection and progression. A look into oneself to progress further down the path.
During the day, The Portals were a mirror finish, reflecting from their place in the ground the faces of forest dwellers as the canopy swayed above. A time to reflect, look at yourself, look at your friends, look at the forest. A shimmering awning, protecting Sherwood travelers. As day transitions into night, something magical happens, reflection becomes knowledge and forward momentum propels you into the nether below. The mirrored disks light up from within and creates a portal into the ground. Tricks to perception make the disks appear to descend into the abyss, like an infinity mirror. This change allows you to experience both reflection and progression. In the same place, we can both reflect about our lives and think about the future.
Barcodes is a group of 6ft LED bars made from wood and acrylic that are used in live music and installation settings alike. They are completely programable and controllable using DMX and ARTnet protocols.
Bright, beautiful and unique, these LED bars truly dazzle and amaze. Running either preprogrammed shows or VJ’d live using Resolume, Barcodes bring new life to any event or party.
